Who am I?

At heart, I am a generalist. I like to know how everything is connected. I have a passion for cities, languages and culture.

I spent the biggest part -more than 15 years- of my career leading music venues and cultural organisations. It has always been a balancing act between a deep love for music and a keen interest in the business side of things.

I believe music venues are mission-driven organisations.

I believe that they want to make the world a better place and that this requires a special strategic mixture of mission, business and audience development. Of soul, muscle and senses, if you will.

That is why I bring an all-round approach to organisations, venues and teams.

I help mission-driven organisations thrive.

I help you understand where you stand as as organisation. How to leverage your strengths and how to overcome your struggles. Clear communication, a personal approach and effective coaching are key.

I don’t believe in consultancy as flying in and coming up with a report on everything that’s wrong. I believe in helping you look at your organisation in a new light and help you grow one step at a time. Thriving is about doing, not about planning.

I am also available for workshops, lectures and talks and I publish articles on strategy for mission-driven organisations.
